“Take a Stocking – Buy a Book” & Collection of Non-Perishable Donations for the CAS Angel Tree Program

December 1, 2017 8:00 am

We're asking our HUB families - that attend playgroups and have their children in any of our licensed programs - to assist in this cause by: 1. "Take a Stocking & Buy a Book" - we've got paper stockings up at the Ontario Early Years Centre, 10 McFarland Court, Picton, labelled with "Girl" or "Boy" and with ages "Infant", "Toddler", "Preschooler" & "School Age". Take your choice, buy an appropriate book, wrap it, attach the paper stocking to the book, and return to us. We'll deliver the books to the Angel Tree Program for inclusion in their family Christmas baskets.

2. Drop off non-perishable items for inclusion in the family Christmas baskets. Food items, toiletries such as toilet paper, kleenex, toothbrushes, etc. Note: If it's not convenient for you to come to the office for a stocking, that's ok. Buy a book, wrap it, and we'll match it up with a stocking for you. Both books and non-perishable food/toiletries can be given to any of our outreach staff at programs/playgroups and they'll ensure they get to us. We thank you in advance for your generosity to this cause! To learn more about this fantastic program, click on the link here - Angel Tree Program CAS Angel Tree Program.Dec.2017

Santa 4The HUB's Annual Children's Christmas Party takes place on Saturday, December 16th from 10am to noon. Santa will visit, so we ask parents to please bring a wrapped book with your child's name on it for Santa's bag. We'll have lots of Christmas-y activities organized for the children, i.e. music playing, carol singing, a craft, stories and children's snack. We would ask that parents also contribute a non-perishable food item that we'll deliver to the CAS Angel Tree Program for inclusion in their family Christmas baskets.
