The Good Baby Box (GBB) Program has been available in Hastings County since 1999, with funding from Hastings County and United Way.  Since its’ inception, hundreds of families have accessed the program each year to help stretch their food dollars, reduce food costs and meet the food needs of their infants and toddlers.

With new funding from United Way of Quinte, the Community Development Council of Quinte is pleased to announce that the GBB Program is now expanding into Prince Edward County!

The Good Baby Box has been operating out of The Hub Child & Family Centre at 10 McFarland Court in Picton since April 15th, 2014.  Parents interested in accessing the program can call 613-476-8142 for store hours and additional information.

Susan Quaiff, Executive Director of The HUB states, “We are very excited to offer the Good Baby Box Program through our Centre.  We have hundreds of families accessing our Centre each year, so it’s a natural fit.”

The program is open to any family with a child aged 2 or younger.

Ruth Ingersoll, Executive Director of Community Development Council Quinte states, “We are thrilled that United Way of Quinte funded this addition to the Good Baby Box Program.  We know that there are hundreds of families in Prince Edward County that will be helped by accessing the program.”
